In the Fall of each year, Istituto Bruno Leoni organizes a Mises Seminar
in Sestri Levante, hosting young scholars from several European
countries and the U.S., carefully selected among the many applications
submitted.
The Seminar is titled after Ludwig von Mises, the great Austrian
economist that tutored Murray Rothbard and several important thinkers
and is emerging as a significant event in the cultural life of
contemporary classical liberalism, offering a distinguished audience to a
few brilliant young libertarian scholars.
IBL will host eight young (under-35) researchers. Each scholar or team
of scholars will present a paper to be posted on this website a few
weeks before the date of the Seminar.
During the Seminar itself, the paper will be briefly presented by their
respective authors and commented by a scholar from an academic or a
research establishment and, immediately thereafter, will be discussed by
the audience.
The Seminar will be held in English and attendance is open to all.

Come ogni autunno l’Istituto Bruno Leoni organizza un Seminario Mises, a Sestri Levante, che ospiterà giovani studiosi provenienti da ogni parte d'Europa e operando un'accurata selezione dei relatori. Dedicato al grande economista viennese Ludwig von Mises, che fu maestro dello stesso Rothbard e di molti altri eminenti pensatori, questo appuntamento sta diventando un momento importante nella vita culturale del liberalismo internazionale contemporaneo, offrendo una prestigiosa ribalta ad alcune tra i più brillanti esponenti delle giovani generazioni.
L’IBL ospiterà alcuni ricercatori di età inferiore ai 35 anni, ai quali viene chiesto di presentare un loro breve studio, che sarà pubblicato nel sito qualche settimana prima del seminario. Ques’anno otto giovani studiosi presenteranno un totale di sei saggi.
Dopo una breve illustrazione da parte dell’autore, ciascun saggio sarà commentato da un professore e, subito di seguito, liberamente discusso da tutti i partecipanti.
L’incontro, che si terrà in lingua inglese, è aperto a tutti.
